Cantine Birgi was founded in Sicily in 1960, nestled in the heart of a stunningly beautiful natural setting, near the town of Marsala (Trapani), by a group of wine-makers who love their land and have a deep bond with their local traditions.

Cooperation, shared knowledge, respect for nature and a passion for Sicily and its products are the strengths of this important regional company.

This land has enjoyed a wine-producing tradition dating back thousands of years, which has been revived, enhanced, modernised and relaunched by the Birgi Winemaking Cooperative.

Today, the winery has about 800 members who provide over 30 million kg every year of 18 different grape varieties from magnificent vineyards with a high quality yield. This therefore gets the best out of every production area and creates products with unique organoleptic qualities.
